Our Healthy Future Indicators, 2013

Key Messages

This publication contains interim data and documents on the chosen indicators for the ten Our Healthy Future (OHF) priority outcomes. The Public Health Wales Observatory has worked with others in the selection and proposal of high level indicators to monitor progress against the priorities for Our Healthy Future:

  • Reducing inequities in health
  • Improving people’s mental well-being
  • Improving health in the workplace
  • Reducing the level of smoking
  • Increasing physical activity
  • Reducing unhealthy eating
  • Stopping the growing harm from alcohol and drugs
  • Reducing the number of teenage pregnancies
  • Reducing the number of accidents and injuries
  • Increasing immunisation rates

This first release includes interim data for 10 indicators whilst the indicator for ‘Improving health in the workplace’ is yet to be finalised. The next update is due in the summer and will include both revised data following the expected population data revisions and newly available data.
