The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) says there is no known risk in giving the currently available COVID-19 vaccines to breastfeeding women and that breastfeeding women can be offered vaccination. There is lack of safety data in breastfeeding women. The benefits of breastfeeding are well known and should also be considered.
