What is Care Home Cymru?

The three year programme of work was set up to improve the quality of care for older people living in care homes in response to the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales report A Place to call home impact and analysis and Welsh Governments A Healthier Wales. The programme works with all levels of staff in care homes to help build supportive environments. This includes working on a series of interventions to improve the safety and quality of care for residents, engage with their families and support well-being of staff. This will allow residents to live meaningful lives in their home.
