A range of agencies and services came together to offer the “Baby Shower” event to expectant mothers and their families with the goals of engaging with local communities, collaborative working across services and offering antenatal support. There were stalls available to visit and the opportunity to attend talks on labour and birth, infant feeding and safe sleep. The event was very well evaluated by service users and by professionals and will be rolled out across the health board. Learning points included some improvements needed to accessibility and the need to streamline numbers of stalls. The first Baby Shower was a very successful pilot.
