FOI 931 - Welsh Translation

 

Information Requested:

I would like to make a request under the freedom of information act.

I would like to request how much money is spent on English to Welsh translation, including:
-the amount spent on external translators and/or agencies; and -the number of translators you have on staff

If possible, I would like this information for the two latest financial years the data is available, so either:
-2020-2021 and 2021-2022 or if this is not yet available:
-2019-2020 and 2020-2021

Translation expenditure for 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 is attached.   We do not specifically report on language translated so the data will include other services (e.g. British Sign Language).  The summary tab provides data the data by supplier which may be helpful.

Welsh Translation Costs 2021-2022
