When does my baby get their routine MMR vaccines?

The MMR vaccination is given free of charge by the NHS as part of the routine schedule.

The full course is made up of two doses.

  • Dose one is given between 12 and 13 months.

  • Dose two is given at 3 years 4 months.

The MMR vaccine can also be given on the NHS to older children and adults, and babies over six months, who need to be protected against measles, mumps and rubella. They may also need protection if there is a measles outbreak.
