When the Met Office Wales forecasts extreme or abnormally hot or cold weather or flooding, Public Health Wales will consider issuing timely and proportionate advice.
Any public health advice issued will be shared across the NHS with colleagues in Health Boards, and also the Welsh Government. It should be noted that Public Health Wales’ proactive communications should not be regarded as a formal trigger for Health Board action.
