FOI 997 - Covid-19 Booster Vaccination - Legal Mandate

Information Requested:

Under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please provide me with the legal basis that requires me to wear a mask and/or present an exemption certificate to any non competent person in order to obtain a vaccination. Also, please provide the legal basis that would override the basis of ‘informed consent’ prior to receiving vaccination.

Information provided for the answer:

Thank you for your recent request dated 23rd October 2022.

Policy decisions for wearing masks at vaccination appointments are made by Welsh Government, you can contact them here Requesting information from the Welsh Government (FOI requests) | GOV.WALES

There is no legal basis that overrides consent for receiving a vaccination, if a person feels they do not have sufficient information and do not wish to consent to the vaccine they do not have to have it.
