FOI 986 - Covid all cause mortality

Information Requested:

Questions regarding the Public Health Wales report: All cause mortality in nosocomial COVID-19 cases in Wales.
I see that the Report is "Version 1.2". I should be grateful if you would supply me with the previous version(s) of the Report.
Can you explain what "cases n" means?
There have been over 10,000 ( 20,445 minus 8414) actual or probable hospital acquired infection cases in Wales of which 3089 have died. Is this correct?

Can you explain what "cases n" means?
This means the number of cases – the ‘n’ means that the numbers in the column are counts.
There have been over 10,000 ( 20,445 minus 8414) actual or probable hospital acquired infection cases in Wales of which 3089 have died. Is this correct?
For the timeframe 27/02/2020 – 16/01/2022, there were 9454 probable or definite hospital-acquired COVID-19 cases in Wales as per the UK surveillance definitions for hospital acquired COVID-19. 2408 of these cases died within 28 days of their positive COVID-19 test. These cases did not necessarily die of COVID-19 or even with COVID-19, but died of any cause within the specified timeframe following their COVID-19 diagnosis.
In addition to the probable or definite hospital-acquired COVID-19 cases in that timeframe, there were 2577 cases of indeterminate status. These cases had been in hospital between 3 and 7 days at the time of their positive COVID-19 test. Because of the variable length of time it can take for the disease to develop after exposure to the virus, it is not possible to determine whether these cases came into the hospital with COVID-19 or acquired it in hospital. Amongst these 2577 indeterminate cases, there were 681 deaths within 28 days of their positive COVID-19 test.
