Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following data:
• The number of oral cancer referrals received by hospitals in your Trust between January 2017 and the most recent completed month that is available (most likely July or August 2022). I also request this data be presented as monthly figures.
This data will be used to raise awareness of oral cancer and the importance of self-checks and early examination as part of the Oral Health Foundation’s November campaign, Mouth Cancer Action Month.
I look forward to receiving your response.
Thank you for your recent request dated 23rd September 2022. Public Health Wales do not hold this data, it is important to note that Public Health Wales is the public health service for Wales and as such is an independent NHS Trust. This is NOT the same as NHS Wales. As an organisation we have no jurisdiction over the activities of Health Boards and frequently do not have access to the data that they produce. I have provided contact details for each Health Board below, I suggest you contact them for the information you require.
