Information Requested:

 

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act regarding your finance software system. Specifically, I would like to know: 

  

  1. The name of your finance software system.  

  1. The name of the supplier who implemented your finance software system. 

  1. The installation date of your finance software system. 

  1. The contract expiration date for your current finance software system. 

  1. The total upfront installation and implementation costs for your finance system, including software, consultancy, training, and related expenses. 

  1. The total annual costs to run and maintain your finance system. Please can you also break down your annual costs by:  

  • Software licensing fees 

  • Maintenance and support fees 

  • Hardware costs 

  • Consultancy 

  • Training 

  • Other recurring expenses (please specify) 

  1. Do you have any plans to switch to a different finance system or upgrade the current system? 

 

Information provided for the answer:

 

The name of the finance software system Public Health Wales (PHW) use is Oracle. 

 

PHW are unable to answer the rest of the questions as we do not hold this information.  

 

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) maintain and manage Oracle on an all-Wales basis. PHW have a System Level Agreement with NWSSP where we pay them a proportion of the costs to use Oracle. 

 

As an organisation we have no jurisdiction over the activities of Health Boards and other NHS Wales organisations. This means we do not routinely have access to the data they produce.  I have provided contact details for NWSSP below, you would need to contact them individually for any information they may hold.
