Please can I ask for up-to-date statistics on national incident data for ectopic pregnancy. Specifically, can I request the numbers of serious harm incidents in Wales relating to ectopic pregnancy. The information within the HSIB report 2020 states:
“National incident data from the NHS shows that between April 2017 and August 2018 there were 30 missed ectopic pregnancies leading to ‘serious harm’.”
I am requesting recent statistics, relating to serious harm as a result of missed ectopic pregnancies for 2020/2021/2022.
Please can I receive this information electronically if possible.
Thank you for your recent request dated 9th February 2023.
Public Health Wales have not undertaken any data analysis into ectopic pregnancies and do not hold this information. The information may be available through Admitted Patient Care Data which is managed by Digital Health and Care Wales, they can be contacted here: Freedom of information - Digital Health and Care Wales (nhs.wales)
