FOI 2023 172 - Air Pollution Contact

 

Information Requested:

I would be grateful if you would please forward email to me the following requested details. 

Namely:  

The named and titled expert lead PHW constituent official members and lead director of the ENVIRONMENTAL PUBLIC HEALTH TEAM,  

together with the email and telephone contact details,  

who are specifically responsible for air pollution matters and for associated public health related issues.

Thank you for your request dated 19th October 2023. 

 

The lead director relating to these issues is our Director of Health Protection, Dr Giri Shankar.  

 

Public Health Wales does not disclose individual staff members contact details. Section 40(2) of the FOI Act is applied to withhold the direct email and telephone number of Dr Shankar, in order to protect personal information governed by the Data Protection Act 2018. 

Section 40 is an absolute exemption and there is therefore no requirement for a Public Interest Test in making the decision to withhold this information.
