Please note Public Health Wales does not hold information on the dental practices private/public status and does not hold NHS dental V codes. Public Health Wales is the public health service for Wales and as such is an independent NHS Trust. As an organisation we have no jurisdiction over the activities of Health Boards or other organisations and frequently do not have access to the data that they produce.

You can find the V codes/organisation codes through the below portal search function. Under “Type” select “General Dental Practice” and put in the postcode of the specific dental practice.

NHS Digital ODS Portal

The Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW) hold information of practices that provide private dental care (fully private or provide private in addition to NHS) as any practice that provides private dental treatment must register with the HIW. You can find this information on their website or you can contact them for any information you need that is not published on their website. Please see the links below for HIW.
