For the attention of the Freedom of Information Officer,
I would like to make an application under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following information: (please provide the figures from 2013 - present, in calendar years not fiscal. )
1) How many members of staff have left their employment within the health board in order to live abroad? Can you please provide a breakdown of the job title of each employee prior to leaving?
2) How many members of staff have left their employment within the health board in order to pursue employment in Australia? Can you please provide a breakdown of the job title of each employee prior to leaving?

Please see below document for list of the years staff who have listed relocation as a leaving reason (in a non-EU Country) from 2013 to the present.
Leavers Detail - Relocation
To protect staff confidentiality, we unable to provide any further breakdown at this time. Providing the level of data requested may result in releasing sufficient information to enable individuals to be identified. This would be deemed to be unfair processing and would breach the first Data Protection Principle.
Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides an exemption from the right to information if disclosure would contravene the data protection principles.
Public Health Wales does not hold information relating to which specific countries staff have left employment to move to.

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint or review, you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision.
