EIR 2023 115 - Air Pollution Deaths

 

Information Requested:

In NWPORTS CITY COUNCIL:  SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL STRATEGY ACTION PLAN they state “ Public Health Wales has estimated over 40,000 premature deaths in the UK every year are attributed to air pollution (in Wales the proportion is approximately 2,700). " 
this FOIA request is for the evidence and data supporting that claim of 2700 deaths in wales due to air pollution please? As not on you website anywhere.

Public Health Wales do not hold precise figures. We published the below to explain why estimating the health impact of air pollution is difficult.
