The eLearning consist of four modules:
Module 1: Core module - flu vaccination programme for 2025-26 season
Everyone needs to complete this core module. It outlines the key Welsh policy information that immunisers and those providing immunisation advice require for the 2025-26 flu season.
Once you have completed module 1 you can then complete the following modules. Only complete the modules that are appropriate for your role in immunisation:
Module 2: Adults flu vaccination module
Complete this module if your role includes advising on, and/or administering, flu vaccines to adults. It contains information specific to this age group.
Module 3: Children's flu vaccination module
Complete this module if your role includes advising on, and/or administering, flu vaccine to children. It contains information specific to this age group.
Suitable for: The Flu Clinical Update for Wales eLearning is suitable for healthcare professionals, including Health Care Support Workers who immunise against flu or provide flu immunisation advice.
Duration: Modules 1,2,3 combined – 90 minutes.
Registration: NHS Wales staff can access the module via ESR. Search flu clinical in the course catalogue on the “My Learning Home Page” or go directly to the module. For more guidance on how to access the course, see the ESR access guide.
Staff who don’t have access to ESR or work outside of NHS Wales will need a username and password to access the Learning@Wales website. To request a username and password please contact the eAteb Helpdesk on eAteb@wales.nhs.uk, or call 02920 905444, or live chat is available on the site. Tell us your name, job title and place of work and an account will be created for you. If you have an email address ending with .ac.uk or .gov.uk email, you can self register.
Learning@Wales Enrolment keys: Click on the course name and you will be prompted for an enrolment key. The enrolment key for GP practices is your practice W code followed by ! e.g. W12345! For other users, if you are unsure of your enrolment key please contact the Helpdesk on eAteb@wales.nhs.uk.
