The aim of this service in ABUHB is to support close and loving parent infant relationships in line with BFI standard 5.
Responsive bottle feeding is relatively new to the BFI standards and the standard can be difficult to achieve.
In an area of high bottle feeding prevalence support is offered with all aspects of feeding and relationship building.
The service is offered by telephone to all families with bespoke additions of home visits and clinic appointment if needed.
Feedback from families is excellent with positive comments from breastfeeding and formula feeding mothers
