Information Requested:

would like to know from your records/studies if any person in Wales has ever suffered or received treatment/care/medicine for any health condition that is caused by the use of "Naswar"
Please find the product related information as follows:

Product: Naswar or Neswar or Snuff

Definition: Naswār (Pashto: نسوار, Cyrillic script: насва́р), also called nās (ناس; на́с) or nasvay (نسوای; насвай), is a moist, powdered tobacco dip (Dipping tobacco is a type of finely ground or shredded, moistened smokeless tobacco product. It is commonly and idiomatically known as "dip". Dipping tobacco is used by placing a pinch, or "dip", of tobacco between the lip and the gum (sublabial administration). it is sometimes confused with other tobacco products—namely nasal/dry snuff.)
Naswar is stuffed in the floor of the mouth under the lower lip, or inside the cheek,
for extended periods of time, usually for 15 to 30 minutes. It is similar to dipping tobacco and snus. (Not to be confused with the dry tobacco product Snuff (tobacco).
Snus (/snuːs/ SNOOSS, Swedish: [ˈsnʉːs] ( listen)) is a tobacco product, originating from a variant of dry snuff in early 18th-century Sweden. It is placed between the upper lip and gum for extended periods, as in sublabial administration. Snus is not fermented. Although used similarly to American dipping tobacco, snus does not typically result in the need for spitting and, unlike naswar, snus is steam-pasteurized.
