I would be grateful if you could provide me with the following information from Public Health Wales records.
1. The approved definition of "Monkeypox Case"
2. The approved diagnostic test for "Monkeypox virus"
The information is requested as reference is made in the consensus statement to "possible, probable or confirmed monkeypox cases". It remains unclear whether these three categories are recorded separately by Public Health Wales in statistical returns to Welsh Government and in information released to the general public. Your response to my request for information will help to clarify the position.
I look forward to receiving the information at your convenience. Thank you.
Thank you for your recent request dated 31st May 2022.
Under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act (information accessible by other means), we are not required to provide information in response to a request if the information is already reasonably accessible to you.
However, for convenience I have attached the links where you can find this information.
