I am requesting the following information.
For the past five years, please give a breakdown by year of;
The number of pregnant women who have disclosed that they are a victim of domestic abuse/flagged as victims of domestic abuse in your system (please also include the total number of pregnant patients each year for comparison)
Number of women who disclosed DA who experienced infection, premature birth, miscarriage, injury or death [risks listed as per the video on this NHS page https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/support/domestic-abuse-in-pregnancy/]
For how many women it has not been possible to undertake in private (aka whilst she is alone) the routine initial enquiry to decipher whether she is a victim
Thank you for your recent request.
Public Health Wales do not have midwives and obstetricians as Health Boards do. Therefore, we do not hold this information.
Public Health Wales is the public health service for Wales and as such is an independent NHS Trust and do not have access to this information. As an organisation we have no jurisdiction over the activities of Health Boards and other NHS Wales organisations. This means we do not routinely have access to the data they produce. I have provided contact details for all the Health Boards below, as they may hold this information. You would need to contact them individually for any information they may hold.
