This year Diversity and Inclusion Week took place online via Teams, and recordings were made of all of the talks.

Trans Issues: Most of the questions, some of the answers!

Reverend Sarah Jones was the first person to be ordained in the Church of England having previously made a gender change. In 2005 she was outed to the media. The story was covered in newspapers, radio, television and blogs throughout the world.
 
 

Windrush Generation - My Personal Journey

2006 Midwife of the year, Vernesta Cyril was born in St Lucia but left in 1962 to follow a career in nursing and midwifery in the UK. She has spent many years challenging discrimination and promoting racial equality which led her to become the founder of South East Wales Racial Equality Council (SEWREC). In 1999, she was awarded the OBE for her services within the community.
 
 

Managing Mental Health in these challenging times

David Beeney enjoyed a successful career in newspapers and magazines for over 30 years, he was the MD of a regional daily newspaper and Commercial Director for Auto Trader. However, since outing himself in 2016 about his secret battles with panic attacks he believes that he has now found true purpose and has committed to spend the rest of his life eradicating the stigma of mental health.
 
David is a qualified Mental Health Counsellor affiliated to the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Practitioners) and a trustee for Mind.
