Description: an interactive immunisation eLearning course, written in line with the revised national minimum training standards and consisting of 7 knowledge sessions with accompanying assessments, is available for all healthcare practitioners with a role in immunisation. It is recommended that you identify a practice mentor before enrolling on this course.
If you are a new immuniser it is recommended that you complete a competency assessment with your identified mentor. The immunisation knowledge and skills competency assessment tool is a competence framework to support the training and assessment of registered and non-registered health care workers who have a role in immunisations: Royal College of Nursing - Immunisation knowledge and skills competence assessment tool .
Suitable for: All Healthcare Professionals who are involved in immunisation in any context, whether administering or advising on immunisations and vaccinations.
Duration: Minimum 10 hours
Registration: NHS Wales staff can access the module via ESR.
