Public Health Wales and Hywel Dda University Health Board (UHB) requested an external independent review of the handling of a Tuberculosis (TB) outbreak in Llwynhendy, Carmarthenshire, in order to understand what happened from that outbreak and what could be done differently in the future. We felt this was important because of the duration of the outbreak (which started in 2010), and because of the numbers of people affected.
