The review was carried out by an expert panel and was chaired by Professor Mike Morgan, who previously worked as NHS England’s National Clinical Director for Respiratory Disease. Other panel members included clinical experts in TB, contact tracing (identifying people who may have come into contact with the disease), microbiology (the study of microscopic organisms), and public health.
The review examined whether the TB outbreak management which began in 2010 was conducted in accordance with best practice at the time.
