The report was compiled at the request of the Cwm Taf Public Health Team in response to their maternity project plan which specified the aim of profiling lifestyle data at a local level. The report entitled Small area analysis of the Cwm Taf University Health Board maternity database presents analysis at Middle Super Output Area (MSOA) level. The analyses focus on overweight/obesity during pregnancy and smoking during pregnancy.

It is the first time the Observatory has produced small-area maps using data from local maternity databases.
