Childhood heights and weights study report (2009)



Key Messages

The Public Health Wales Observatory has published the findings of a study to explore the feasibility of a national measurement programme of children’s heights and weights.  The Minister for Health and Social Services, Edwina Hart, has accepted the report and its recommendations. Carried out in 2009, the study was undertaken by the Observatory, part of Public Health Wales, with support from other Welsh organisations including the School of Medicine and School of Health and Human Sciences at Swansea University, which provided research support.
