An all Wales framework for the routine use of outcome tools in mental health and learning disability services has been developed.
Phase I - The testing of how to introduce outcome measurement tools into the everyday work practices of mental health services across Wales. The research was carried out with a wide cross section of mental health services which included CAMHS, adult acute inpatient, older adult acute inpatient, low secure unit, medium secure unit, community mental health team, older adult community mental health team and primary mental health support services.
Phase II – The testing of learning gathered from Phase I to create a guide of how to effectively introduce and embed outcome tools into all mental health services in Wales.

The team are working on Phase III where they are training representatives from every mental health and learning disability team from every health board within Wales in the Outcome Measure tools approach.
