Figure 2: Alternate text description

Figure 2 title “Number of unpaid carers recorded in local authority carers’ assessment data, GP only or both data sources (time period varies due to the availability of data from the LA).”
This figure shows Euler diagrams of the number of unpaid carers recorded in Neath Port Talbot, Swansea and Denbighshire using the LA carers assessment (LA) data only, GP only or both within the respective study periods.

In Neath Port Talbot’s Euler diagram, a sub-title notes that the study period spans from July 2017 to May 2022, followed by stating 2024 unpaid carers were identified in total. Underneath is a Euler diagram comprised of two circles. The smaller circle shows 413 unpaid carers identified within the LA data and the larger circle shows 1611 identified within the GP data, with an intersection of 60 unpaid carers recorded in both data sources.

In Swansea’s Euler diagram, a sub-title notes that the study period spans from April 2021 to June 2022, followed by a line stating 926 unpaid carers were identified in total. Underneath is a Euler diagram comprised of two circles. The smaller circle shows 281 unpaid carers identified within the LA data and the larger circle shows 645 identified within the GP data, with an intersection of 14 unpaid carers recorded in both data sources.

In Denbighshire’s Euler diagram, a sub-title notes that the study period spans from April 2020 to March 2022, followed by a line stating 841 unpaid carers were identified in total. Underneath is a Euler diagram comprised of two circles. The smaller circle shows 213 unpaid carers identified within the LA data and the larger circle shows 628 identified within the GP data, with an intersection of 33 unpaid carers recorded in both data sources.
