The Health Foundation, an independent charity committed to improving health and health care in the UK, funded this work through the Networked Data Lab programme.
Networked Data Lab Wales (NDL Wales) is a collaboration across Public Health Wales (PHW), Swansea University (SAIL Databank), Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW), and Social Care Wales. NDL Wales includes Alisha Davies, Laura Bentley, Jerlyn Peh, Manar AlShams, Giles Greene, Ashley Akbari, Claire Newman, Owen Davies, Emma Taylor-Collins, Emma Davies, Walid Chehtane, Gareth John, and Joanna Dundon.
This project has been co-developed with input from several local authorities in Wales, namely thanks to those from Bridgend Local Authority, Neath Port Talbot Local Authority (Yasmin Friedmann), Pembrokeshire Local Authority (Sophie Galloway), Powys Local Authority (Hazel Jukes) and Rhondda Cynon Taf Local Authority (Mari Ropstad, Erika Williams), who provided both data and expert insight for this analysis.
SAIL analyses were approved by the SAIL Information Governance Review Panel (Project 1658).
