The Vaccine Preventable Disease Programme is pleased to announce the 2024 Welsh Immunisation Conference (WIC) will take place in Cardiff on 24th April. The conference coincides with World Immunisation Week, emphasising the collective efforts necessary to protect communities against vaccine-preventable diseases.
The conference this year will be free to attend, however failure to provide notice of cancellation (72 hours before conference) or non-attendance will incur a £10 fee to your respective organisation.

We will inform colleagues shortly after the closing date to confirm their place on the day.
Posters are an important part of the Welsh Immunisation Conference helping to share immunisation initiatives and good practice from across Wales.
E-posters will be displayed on screens at the conference and attendees will have the opportunity to view throughout the day and to vote for their favourite two posters.
Winners will be announced and presented with their prize and a photo opportunity shortly before the conference closes.
The Conference will also have the inaugural Vaccination Saves Lives (VSL) Awards. The VSL Awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise, reward and celebrate some of the hard work and dedication that has gone into immunisation programme(s) in Wales.
These national awards are open to teams and individuals who work on any aspect of immunisation in Wales.
There are four VSL Award categories to choose from and you can nominate yourself or someone else (individual, team, or organisation).
