The Public Health Wales Vaccine Preventable Disease Programme was established in 2005.

The key objectives of the service are to:

Support Local Health Boards to actively manage immunisation services to achieve targets
Support WAG to provide strategic direction and service development
Support service providers through improved training, advice and facilitating a clinical network.
