About this event

Every child in Wales deserves the best start in life. To help families feel confident and supported, Public Health Wales, on behalf of the Welsh Government, has published the final two resources in our national universal parenting information series:

  • Age 2 to Starting School (2 oed i Ddechrau’r Ysgol)
  • Age 4 to 7 (4 i 7 oed)

These booklets build on Your Pregnancy and Birth (Eich Beichiogrwydd a’ch Genedigaeth), and Newborn to Age 2 (Newydd-anedig hyd at 2 oed), creating a complete, evidence-based set of four resources for parents covering the early years. They have been developed with health professionals, parents, and policy experts to ensure they meet families’ needs and reflect best practice.

This webinar highlighted how embedding these resources into your programmes and services and offering them to our families, help to create a consistent, trusted parenting offer across Wales. This, in turn, helps in reducing misinformation and supporting families to give their child the best start. This approach aligns with national strategies and strengthens our collective impact.
