Health inequalities in Wales: Insights, evidence and solutions

Why do some people live longer and healthier lives than others? While healthcare plays an important role, our health is shaped by a much wider set of social, economic and environmental factors. This webinar will explore the causes and consequences of health inequalities in Wales, examining how factors such as income, housing, education, employment and the places we live influence health outcomes and opportunities for good health.

Attendees will gain an overview of key concepts and terminology, learn about the latest evidence on health inequalities in Wales, and hear about national and international approaches to improving health equity. The session will also highlight the Health Equity Wales agenda, Wales’ ambition as a Marmot Nation, and learning from global initiatives to reduce unfair and avoidable differences in health.
