Health Impact Assessment (Wales) Regulations 2025: A guide for public bodies in Wales (February 2026) has been developed by Public Health Wales (PHW), in collaboration with the Welsh Government and public bodies through a Health Impact Assessment (HIA) User Reference Group.
It is intended specifically for public bodies in Wales that, under the Health Impact Assessment (Wales) Regulations 2025 (the Regulations), will be required from 6 April 2027 to carry out a HIA when proposing to make a decision of a strategic nature about how they exercise their functions.
