Diversity Networks

Staff Networks.png

Public Health Wales actively supports the development of a diverse workforce where everyone can give of their best at work.

We have recently set up and are encouraging a number of staff Diversity Networks that meet on a regular basis and provide a valuable opportunity for members to meet new people, seek advice, support and reassurance.

Our workforce diversity networks are very important for our organisation, they are our critical friends, supporting and challenging us.

The networks ensure the needs and views of their members are taken into account when planning and shaping our organisation.

All networks welcome allies who can support the networks too!

What do our staff networks do?

  • Advise on policies and services
  • Social activities
  • Awareness raising events
  • Act as role models
  • Liaise with managers on improving the working environment

What are the benefits to joining a staff network?

  • Chance to shape the organisation and effect change
  • Enable better networking
  • Feel valued
  • Personal development
  • Support from others
