The Estates, Facilities and Health and Safety Team and Health and Safety Managers are working hard to ensure that our workplace will be safe for all of our staff.
You can see examples of social distancing measures that have been put in place in CQ2, Screening and Microbiology in the below video.
This includes removing IT equipment where it cannot be used due to social distancing, clearing all desks of all personal items so they can be used by others and cleaning desk areas before and after use. These measures are likely to be in place for some time and we will be working across other workplaces to implement a similar approach. The Estates team will be liaising closely with business managers prior to implementing social distancing measures.
In buildings where groups of staff need to be in, such as the Contact Centre in CQ2, measures have been put in place to ensure social distancing is adhered to and work station cleaning products and hand sanitising equipment is readily available. Risk assessments are being completed across all the different estates to make sure that all sites are safe to work in.
Staff are advised to work from home, where possible, for the remainder of this year, to help us reduce the risk of spreading the virus. We will continue to review this in line with latest guidance but for now, it’s strongly advised you do not return to the workplace if you do not need to.
If you are requesting equipment, you may have seen this DSE assessment to complete to ensure that your working areas are set up correctly. The team have produced this presentation to show how this can be done.
Frequently asked questions have also been developed to address any queries staff have about working arrangements going forward.
