I am a registered FtM/trans man who has taken long term male hormone therapy. Will my risk of developing an AAA be the same as a biological man?

Currently there is no evidence to show that FtM/trans men taking long term male hormone therapy are at any more risk of developing an AAA than that of a biological man.
As you are registered as an FtM/trans man, the Wales AAA Screening Programme will automatically invite you to take part in AAA screening. You will be treated as a man and therefore it is assumed that you will have the same risk as a biological man. When you are invited, you can choose whether you would like to attend for screening or not.
