Who is Beaufort Research?

Beaufort Research is a market and social research business providing a range of quantitative and qualitative research services to customers in both the private and public sectors.

What details do we collect and how do we use them?

We will be collecting information purely for research purposes. Any personal information collected may be used for two purposes only:

  1. Contact details such as name, address, telephone number may be used by our head office team to contact you solely to check whether the interview was carried out properly and in accordance with the Market Research Society Code of Conduct. This is part of our quality control procedures.
  2. Information such as age, gender and ethnicity will be combined with other people we interview so that research findings can be reported among aggregated groups (e.g. 16-34s, males, etc.). Your answers to questions will not be personally identifiable.

Who can access your details?

All details are stored securely on our servers and can only be accessed by Beaufort staff involved in research projects. Your details are not shared with any other organisation unless you provide your express consent for this to happen.

Your rights

Any personally identifiable details will be held for a maximum of 3 months after the end of the project but if you wish these to be removed from our systems at any time, you can email dataprotection@beaufortresearch.co.uk informing us of this. In addition you have the right to:

  • Access any data we hold on you.
  • Rectify any inaccuracies in data we hold on you.
  • Limit any processing on data we hold on you.

If you are not satisfied with Beaufort’s response, or believe we are not processing your personal data in accordance with the law you can make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office https://ico.org.uk/concerns/handling/
