Two new Non-Executive Director Vacancies

Non-Executive Directors work alongside the Executive Directors as part of a unitary board to develop the strategic direction, ensure accountability and shape the organisational culture of Public Health Wales.

They also actively contribute to Public Health Wales’ agenda by developing good working relationships, holding Executive Directors to account and bringing an independent view to the Board.

The work of Public Health Wales touches the lives of all those who live in Wales and we are seeking applications from a wide variety of people who have diverse backgrounds and expertise. We are particularly interested in hearing from under-represented groups.

Jan Williams, Chair of Public Health Wales said:

“I am hopeful that we can attract applications from talented and experienced individuals who feel that they have something to give to Public Health Wales at what is an exciting time, as we develop our long-term strategy.

“I am continually impressed at the high calibre of our staff and board together with the ground-breaking work that we are taking forward. These two appointments will help to complete the Board.”

Non-Executive Directors are appointed for an initial period of up to four years. The post is based on a notional time commitment of a minimum of four days per month. Remuneration will equate to £9,360 per annum.

The recruitment process is being handled by the Welsh Government. You can find out more or apply for either of the two roles here:
