Last chance to register your place to attend the 16th Welsh Immunisation Conference

The fee to attend is £15 which includes refreshments and lunch. Registration will close on Friday 5th April 2019.

 

The day will commence with a key note speech from Professor Jean White, Chief Nursing Officer for Wales.

 

The conference will bring together national and international expert speakers presenting on the following topics vaccination and the immunocompromised child, measles elimination, Shingles, reducing barriers to immunisation for young people and much, much more.

If you or any of your colleagues have been involved with an initiative or a project related to immunisation, why not submit an abstract for presentation at this year’s conference. It’s an excellent opportunity to share your work with colleagues across Wales. There will be high street vouchers awarded for the best posters submitted, 1st price £40 and £20 2nd.

The Welsh Immunisation Conference supports European Immunisation Week in conjunction with other World Health Organization (WHO) regional initiatives.

It runs from 24th-30th April 2019, EIW slogan is “Prevent. Protect. Immunize”.

This year the campaign aims to raise awareness of the benefits of vaccines and to celebrate the “vaccine heroes” who contribute in so many ways to protecting through vaccination. Further information can be found on the European Immunisation Week website.
