Executive Director of Quality, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals

Rhiannon has professional oversight of nurses and AHPs, other responsibilities include quality, risk, service user experience/public engagement, safeguarding, and is the Senior Information Responsible Officer (SIRO).

Having trained as a Nurse in London, Rhiannon went on to work in Primary care, later becoming a Health Visitor and then specialised in the area of Safeguarding for several years.

Having completed seven years in the Welsh Ambulance Service she successfully led the introduction of robust safeguarding arrangements, including a Domestic Abuse strategy, before moving on to become Nurse Director in PHW in 2013. 

Rhiannon completed her MSc in 2004 focussing on early years. She was recently awarded a Florence Nightingale leadership scholarship spending time in Cuba learning about their health system and is also involved in developing collaboration with Uganda through Wales For Africa funding.   

Rhiannon is also a Trustee for a Domestic Abuse third sector provider.
