About Me

Transition Director for Knowledge.

Sian has over 30 years of working in and with the NHS. She qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1988 and soon after commenced her District Nursing training. Sian remained within the community setting for 12 years working initially as a District Nursing Sister, then a District Nurse Manager and finally Senior Nurse within a Local Health Board. During this period she obtained her Degree in Nursing Studies and became a nurse prescriber.

In 2003, Sian moved into the private sector for four years where she worked as a management consultant and performance auditor with one of the large four international accountancy firms where she completed her Master in Health Service Management. In 2007 Sian return to the NHS in Wales where she worked for seven years in the National Leadership and Innovation Agency for Healthcare (NLIAH) as Assistant Director of Service Improvement and finally as Director.

In 2013, NLIAH became part of Public Health Wales where Sian took up the post of Assistant Director of Quality Nursing & Allied Health Professionals. Sian is currently acting into the Executive Director role for a period of 12 months.
